Kay Silversides
Research Manager
Kay has over 20 years’ experience in public sector research and evaluation. Kay is an experienced project manager and, during her time at Qa, Kay has worked on a wide range of projects using diverse methodologies, including quantitative surveys, focus groups, workshops and depth interviews, and project/programme evaluation.
Kay is experienced in research and evaluation on several topics, especially family support, health and social care, and services for older people. Recent research topics have included social prescribing, the Care Act, and dementia friendly communities. Commissioning organisations Kay has worked with over the years include local authorities, national and local charities, and corporate social responsibility departments within large private sector organisations.
In previous years, Kay has worked as a volunteer within social care and has received training in counselling skills and specialist research techniques for use with children.
Kay has a BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of York.
