Qa wins National Childminding Association membership survey contract

The National Childminding Association (NCMA) recently awarded the contract to deliver its latest survey of childminder-members to Qa. The purpose of the survey is to gather and analyse data on the childcare provision offered by childminders.

1,000 CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews) surveys will be conducted covering the following areas:

  • Working conditions - how many children they look after, their ages, and working hours
  • Fees - what they charge and how this changes depending on the nature of the work
  • Community childminding - care undertaken on behalf of social services
  • Qualifications and training - the highest they hold and the extent of any training
  • Use of NCMA services

A final report to be issued later this year will give the NCMA up-to-date information on its current membership and key facts about their background and working conditions.
