Qa was commissioned by GiPA UK Ltd to conduct 3000 face to face 30 minute interviews with drivers across the UK for their Annual worldwide Car Driver Survey 2016.
GiPA undertakes market research in several sectors relating to the markets of maintenance, repair and after-sales for cars, mopeds/motorbikes & heavy goods vehicles. They specialise in the knowledge and measurement (evaluation) of the after sales markets and they use the data collected from their Annual Car Driver Survey GiPA to supply market information to a range of clients worldwide in the automotive sector including: Car Manufacturers, Part Manufacturers, Tools Suppliers, Lubricant Manufacturers/Suppliers, Tyre Manufacturers, Service Providers including insurance & vehicle leasing and distribution.
The Annual Car Driver Survey is designed to understand trends in driver behaviour and attitudes towards brands, products and services. The survey provides a comprehensive look at:
- where and how drivers buy/source their cars
- where and how they maintain them
- drivers’ attitudes to warranties
- typically how much they spend on repairs/services
- their attitudes to different brands e.g. tyres, oils, plugs etc
Quotas for this large-scale field project are based on geographical region and UK country, age, gender, social economic grade and town size (London Borough, Other Urban – 250K + population, Urban – 100-250K population and towns with less than 100K population).
Qa completed 50 pilot interviews, followed by 2950 interviews completed between January and March 2016. Completed questionnaires were despatched to GiPA UK Ltd on a regular basis for data entry and analysis. The final results were supplied by GiPA to their clients across the automotive sector.
