New report highlights best practice in community engagement

A new good practice guide emphasising the importance of engaging communities in housing market renewal programmes was recently launched.

The guide features community engagement research findings from research conducted by Qa for Bridging NewcastleGateshead and Hull Gateway.

Produced by the Chartered Institute of Housing and TPAS, a leading national tenant participation organisation, the guide explains the principles of community engagement and uses practical examples to illustrate how they can work.

Head of the Community Involvement Team at Qa Research, said: “Housing Market Renewal Partnerships and other organisations charged with researching the attitudes and opinions of local stakeholders can learn a great deal from this valuable guide.”
