Qa hails Taxi and Private Hire Consultation research in Leeds

Leeds City Council taxi and private hire drivers and operators will soon be surveyed by Qa during a major city-wide research project.

With approximately 5,000 licensed drivers and operators on their books, the logistics of organising consultation with such a large number of potential respondents has persuaded the council to call in outside expertise.

The objectives of the postal survey are to:

  • determine the preferred method of consultation amongst drivers and operators
  • understand if current levels of consultation are deemed to be sufficient
  • evaluate the existing methods of information delivery
  • identify any improvements that could be implemented

Qa will work with the council to ensure that awareness of the consultation exercise is as high as possible before surveys are posted out and during the fieldwork period.

The results will give the council robust information about the views of taxi and private hire drivers and operators and inform any future consultation exercises.
