Qa Research secures international survey contract

Visit Manchester has awarded its 2008 International Perceptions Survey to Qa Research.

The survey will assess perceptions of Manchester as a visitor destination before measuring how these perceptions have changed since Qa conducted the baseline study in 2004.

1,800 surveys with potential and actual visitors from Germany, Spain and the US will be completed.

Changes in perceptions and the impact of the Greater Manchester Tourism Strategy 2003-2008 will be examined.

The research will also profile visitors by their number, age, gender, location, social grade and tendency to visit Manchester.

The results will give Visit Manchester a robust understanding of current perceptions of Manchester as a short break destination.

Visit Manchester’s choice of contractor was directly influenced by the experience and range of resources offered by Qa Research. Of particular interest was the inclusion of multi-lingual project managers such as Kathrin Tennstedt in the team.
