The main findings from a Qa report into the impact of summer camps on young people are to be unveiled at an event in the House of Commons.
Nick How, Head of Tourism and Leisure research at Qa, will co-present the findings in front of the All Party Parliamentary Youth Hostelling Group and selected guests.
The meeting is an opportunity for the Youth Hostels Association to showcase the positive benefits of its “Do It 4 Real” summer camps programme.
Funding for “Do It 4 Real” came from the Department for Children, Schools and Families, which sought to ensure that all young people regardless of financial background would have the chance to attend one of the camps.
Nick’s presentation will explain the methodologies used to gather the research data and illustrate the range of social, physical and emotional benefits of summer camps.
The event takes place on March 23rd.
