Transport Surveys Data Collection – Privacy Notice

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), the ‘Controller’ of the personal data which you provide via the Transport Surveys Data Collection is Jacobs UK Limited. Jacobs are appointed by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to manage the transport surveys and analyse the results, in order to:

Four appointed data companies will be carrying out the survey on Jacobs’ behalf: Tracsis Traffic Data Ltd, Qa Research Ltd, Nationwide Data Collection Ltd and MHC Traffic Ltd as their data processors. The data collected by Tracsis Traffic Data Ltd, Qa Research Ltd, Nationwide Data Collection Ltd and MHC traffic Ltd will be retained until necessary for the purposes defined above only and thereafter aggregated and no longer identifiable.

Personal information provided as part of the survey process (including name, postcode, disability, age, gender) and for individual surveys will be processed to inform the variable demand models, including trip frequency and mode choice, within the Transport Model. Processing of this information is necessary for the performance of listed tasks carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (the Article 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR).

As a data subject you have a number of rights under the DPA. Please refer to Jacobs Privacy Policy for further information. If there is any conflict between this Privacy Notice and the Jacobs Privacy Policy, this Privacy Notice shall prevail.
