Qa Research, a York City Centre based social and market research agency, is looking to recruit a key member of its Research Team.
Qa has a wide client base, with major clients in local government, utilities, travel & tourism, healthcare, charities and government departments, across the public and private sectors.
We’re looking for an experienced and confident evaluation/research professional with significant experience, some of which will probably have been gained working for a similar organisation. You will have highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to apply creative solutions to complex problems.
An in-depth understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods and their application to meet the needs of clients is essential. You’ll have a thorough understanding of evaluative research design and its application in different settings and contexts.
We need you to win and lead projects for some of our most high profile clients with minimum supervision and to work closely with the Research Team Director to ensure our evaluation offer remains innovative and attractive to clients at all times.
To do this you’ll need a proven track record of writing proposals and winning business along with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, great inter-personal skills, a positive and inventive approach to research, client relationship management experience and excellent written English as well as an engaging presenting style.
You will be required to undertake occasional travel throughout the UK and you’ll need a full UK driving licence.
The ideal candidate will be committed and adaptable, with a solid understanding of how to apply research methods in the right ways to meet the needs of clients. You’ll have experience of responding to briefs by writing proposals and attending pitches as well asall stages of project delivery including questionnaire writing, project management and working with data analysts to produce outputs so you can analyse quantitative data and produce reports/presentations.
You will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have outstanding written English skills that align with the need to write proposals and reports. You’ll enjoy interpreting and drawing conclusions from data and be motivated by creating and implementing research solutions, using research to generate insight to meet clients’ objectives.
The ideal candidate will also be confortable leading a small team, working with experienced researchers to develop their skills and deliver projects.
