Data Administrator – £20k
We are offering a Data Administrator role in a dynamic agency that provides frequent new challenges and learning opportunities.
The ICT Operations team is responsible for processing and storing personal data for research purposes; running data capture software – Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI), CAWI for web surveys and CAPI for personal interviewing; analysing survey data, and providing some ICT support particularly with Office 365, Excel and Word.
Role and responsibilities
Initially and after training, your day to day work will involve providing cover and support to the members of our small ICT Operations team to assist them in meeting the needs of other research delivery teams across the company.
This will involve scripting CATI/CAWI/CAPI questionnaires, processing, cleaning and validating data generated through surveys, producing accurate data sets and managing survey related databases.
You may also be required to provide some Microsoft Office advice & support to the business alongside the rest of the team.
It is essential that you are a team player with a high level of commitment and have a genuine interest in working with data.
You must have a logical and analytical mind, excellent attention to detail, a high degree of numeracy and understand the need for confidentiality.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent prioritisation and organisational skills in what can be a demanding environment and manage your time effectively and productively.
There will be opportunities for development, particularly in the area of survey design with our in-house software and GIS mapping so the ability to quickly assimilate new information and the desire to learn new skills is essential.
At this time it may be necessary for you to be able to work from home after training with provided equipment.
Ideally you should have a degree or equivalent, Mathematics, Statistics or an IT related degree is preferred. As a minimum you will need Mathematics and/or IT at A-Level.
