The following Privacy Notice has been supplied by York Civic Trust (YCT), who are the Data Controller for this survey;
We undertake to keep your personal information private and secure, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of May 2018. This privacy policy explains how and why we use your personal data, to make sure you stay informed and can be confident about giving us your information.
We will never sell your personal data. We sometimes need to share the personal information we process with other organisations who are acting on our behalf, such as Qa Research who are undertaking this research on behalf of York Civic Trust. In doing this we comply with all aspects of the GDPR.

In this policy, “we” refers to York Civic Trust.
York Civic Trust has charity registration number 229336, company number 00486282 and ICO registration number Z7401294.
What personal information do we collect and how do we use it and store it?
The type of personal information that we collect and use may include your name, address, and e-mail address and survey responses, which you give to us. This information is collected when you respond to the survey.
We use this personal information in ways which we believe you would reasonably expect in completing a survey of this nature. The legal basis for holding and processing this information is ‘consent’ under the GDPR regulations as stipulated in the Data Protection Act of 2018.
We keep personal data collected for research purposes (including completed questionnaires) for 12 months after completion of the research project. In line with GDPR, all personal data is stored in a psuedoanonymised and encrypted format within the EU.
How can you check what we hold?
At any time you may request details of personal information which we hold about you, amend this information or ask for it to be removed.
