Sam Shaw
Senior Research Executive
Sam is a member of Qa’s Social Insight and Evaluation team and has experience conducting mixed-methods research, with particular expertise in qualitative methods. His passion stems from the potential to speak to, and represent the perspectives of, difficult-to-reach and disempowered groups and support actionable change. He specialises in promoting inclusive practice to amplify the voices of research participants.
He focuses on conducting research with people in vulnerable circumstances across a multitude of sectors, including housing, local government, health and social care, utilities and the third sector.
Sam has a BA (Hons) in History from the University of York, and an MA in Modern History with Distinction from the University of York. He is a member of the Social Research Association.
